Kat Reiner, LMHCA Candidate (she/her)

I am a psychodynamic therapist working with adults, couples, and young children at the CTS Counseling Center in Indianapolis. I’m interested in how our earliest relationships become part of our inner worlds—shaping what we expect from others, how we protect ourselves, and what we come to believe is possible. Rather than seeing symptoms as problems to simply eliminate, we’ll get curious about what they may be expressing and make room for experiences that have been difficult to know, feel, or put into words.

I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Christian Theological Seminary. My approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy and incorporates play, Brainspotting, mindfulness, breathwork, and body-based practices. I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2016 and additional training in breathwork in 2022. These approaches allow us to attend not only to the stories we consciously carry, but also to experiences that may live beyond words.

Ultimately, my work is about creating enough space to encounter more of ourselves—and, from there, more possibility in how we live.
